Hello Everyone
December was difficult. My dog suddenly passed away a few days before Christmas. My husband and I are devastated. Everywhere we look in the house is a reminder of him. For this reason, we decided to get away. Far away. As you’re reading this, we’ll be in Paris, France!
During the month of December, I read 9 books. It wasn’t a great reading month for me. I didn’t enjoy most of the books I read.
So, here are some stats!
Number of pages read: 2926
Number of print books: 4
Number of e-books: 5
Favourite quote of the month:

The Writing Retreat surprised me with its late entry onto my top books of 2022 list. It’s full of twists and turns I didn’t see coming with characters who feel real and enthusiastic about the writing process.

Lovelight Farms was lackluster in its chemistry between the main characters thereby making everything else about the novel fall flat. Though, the setting was perfect. 3 Stars
VAMPS: Fresh Blood is exactly what you’d expect from a novel titled as such. Everything about it is surface level and with descriptions like “womb-like”, VAMPS: Fresh Blood is worth the read if you’re looking for a good laugh. 2 Stars
Dipped in Holly is the perfect quick read if you’re looking for something to warm you up on those cold winter nights leading up to Christmas. 3 Stars
Locklands was truly a disappointment and will probably be one of my most disappointing reads of the year. 2 Stars
The Mistletoe Bet is a quick and spicy Christmas read with some fire hot scenes wrapped in Christmas goodness. 3 Stars
The Hustler Next Door was an okay read that took too much time to find its footing by focusing too much on the plot outside the budding relationship between the main characters. 3 Stars
