Haven’t read the previous novels? Check out my reviews of Dark Fae and Savage Fae.

The King will fall.

While I continue my hunt for the Fae who killed my brother, I have to try to keep my heart away from the vicious boys who could be responsible for his death.

But as my investigation leads me down a dangerous road and answers seem closer than ever before, I’m whisked away to the elite school, Zodiac Academy, with the four Kings and my heart becomes more vulnerable than ever.

Vicious Fae is my favourite of the series so far as Peckham and Valenti dig into the reverse harem aspect of the novel while also developing the mystery and world.

What I enjoyed most about Vivious Fae was the fact that the characters finally acknowledge their polyamorous relationship. This acknowledgement takes up a large portion of the novel as not all the men involved are 100% accepting. Peckham and Valenti dive into these struggles as readers are given multiple perspectives.

As mentioned in my previous reviews of the series, so far it focuses more on the relationship rather than the mystery and world. Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac differs from Zodiac Academy in that way. However, that isn’t to say the mystery and plot are ignored. Vicious Fae continues Elise’s hunt for her brother’s murderer while expanding the world. If you’ve read Zodiac Academy you’ll be treated to some content predating those novels.

If you’ve read Peckham and Valenti you know that their sex scenes are hot. As you would expect, Vicious Fae is no exception. Since Vicious Fae digs deeper into the polyamorous aspect of their relationship, these scenes are especially spicy and inventive because of a certain deal.

The ending of Vicious Fae was exciting and though I’ve read Zodiac Academy I should have seen certain aspects of it it coming. I cannot wait to see what happens next in Broken Fae.

Overall, Vicious Fae is my favourite of the series so far as it digs into the reverse harem aspect of the novel while also developing the mystery and world.
