The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I was fortunate enough to be given an ARC of Chain of Iron. I cried when I opened the package and out tumbled the book. I’ve been reading Clare for over ten years now, so it’s an absolute privilege and honour to be entrusted with an advance copy.
As of writing this, I’m more than 50% through and am LOVING it. Everything about Chain of Iron works: the characters, the plot, the ANGST!! I cannot get enough.

Where the Crawdads Sing is disappointing. I’m certainly in the minority when it comes to this novel considering the 4.47 rating on Goodreads based on over a million reviews. Where the Crawdads Sing is an overhyped coming of age story full of clichés and tropes.
One of the only positive aspects about Where the Crawdads Sing is Owens’ writing. It’s beautiful and poetic and clearly describes the beauty of the marsh and surrounding areas. I could showcase quote after quote to illustrate the beauty of Owens’ writing easily.
Two Stars

After that, I’ll be prepping for A Court of Silver Flames! I am so ridiculously excited.

What about you? What are your three Ws this Wednesday? Have you read any of the books mentioned above?
I am so jealous of you reading Chain of Iron! March 2nd just feels ages away, but I’m very glad to hear that it’s just as good as I expected it to be 😄
I honestly couldn’t believe I got it. It’s worth the wait, that’s for sure! 🙂
it was definitely shocking to hear that Where the Crawdads Sing was not a great book in your opinion, I’ve heard so many good reviews on it. i’ve never read, so I can’t give you my opinion. I definitely understand the part about cliches though. Also, how is everyone so lucky to be receiving ARCs of Chain of Iron I’m so jealous!!
Yeah… I was pretty disappointed that I didn’t enjoy like everyone else. Oh well!
I have no idea how I managed to get one, but I’m happy I did 🙂
Sorry to see you didn’t like Where The Crawdads Sing. I one of the many who loved it! Hope you enjoy your next reads.
Can’t love them all 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks!
