Haven’t read the first novel, Sweet Mercy? Check out my review here!
From internationally bestselling author K.A. Tucker, writing as Nina West, comes the dark and steamy Dirty Empire trilogy.
Mercy Wheeler and Gabriel Easton’s sordid tale continues in Gabriel Fallen as Mercy finds herself heading down a dangerous path.
Gabriel has made an art of dangling what I’m most desperate for in front of me, what he knows I can’t refuse, no matter the cost. In this case, that cost continues to be me.
He is still a scoundrel, but I’m starting to see something more.
And while our bargain is proving advantageous in ways I never anticipated, the risks that come with being associated with a man like him are becoming painfully clear.
But how much longer before this arrangement with Gabriel costs me everything I am?
This is the second book in the Dirty Empire series and should be read after Sweet Mercy.

Gabriel Fallen in the second book in the Dirty Empire trilogy. So far, this trilogy is the perfect blend of fire hot romance with an organized crime centered plot.
Mercy has agreed to a new deal with Gabriel to remain intimate with him until her father can be released from prison. Mercy slowly begins to see behind the mask Gabriel dons and sees his more vulnerable side.
I’m usually not a fan of organized crime centered romances, but West strikes the perfect balance between Gabriel’s crime life and his relationship with Mercy. Though Gabriel Fallen is told from Mercy and Gabriel’s perspectives, readers are given more Mercy chapters. While Mercy remains in the dark about Gabriel’s crime life, she does begin to unravel what’s happening behind the scenes. Since the focus is mostly on Mercy and her relationship with Gabriel, Gabriel Fallen is fire hot. Again, you’ll need a glass of water while reading. And maybe a fan as well.
As mentioned in my review of Sweet Mercy, the power balance between Mercy and Gabriel continues to lean towards Mercy despite Gabriel’s sometimes overbearing remarks or actions.
Overall, Gabriel Fallen is the perfect balance between a fire hot romance and an organized crime centered plot. These books are the ultimate guilty pleasure read that you shouldn’t feel guilty about.
I loved, and gah, that ending!! 🤦♀️ This series is just so good and so looking forward Dirty Empire! ❤️
