I ran to Alaska to escape heartbreak, only to deliver myself into the jaws of a wolf.
Henry Wolf, that is. Owner of the luxury hotel chain, and an undeniably beautiful but cold, hard man who is quick with demands, slow with apologies.
And is my new boss.
Worse? I think he’s toying with me. He enjoys watching me squirm beneath his penetrating gaze. He relishes in messing with my mind. He seems to know that my body betrays me when he’s near.
And I’m beginning to think it’s only a matter of time before my job description expands to include tasks I can never talk about.
Tempt Me is the first book in The Wolf Hotel series. Henry and Abbi’s story continues with Break Me, Teach Me, and Surrender To Me.
Tempt Me is an adult romance written by none other than K.A. Tucker. Tucker recently announced that she wrote the entire Wolf Hotel series under the penname Nina West. I immediately bought the ebook and read.
Tempt Me follows Abbi as she travels to Alaska for the summer to work at a luxury hotel after a particularly bad breakup. Looking to free herself from who she currently is, Abbi opens herself to new experiences through the very sensual hotel owner, Henry Wolf.
Despite the main character being the stereotypical religious virgin, Tempt Me is hot. West does not shy away from sensual scenes of all types. Abbi and Henry’s chemistry sizzles, but there are dark undertones to their interactions. Henry is ten years Abbi’s senior and leaps and bounds more experienced in all things sensual. Tempt Me is a very much a forbidden romance with a power imbalance.
Tempt Me is full of clichés that I usually dislike, especially the virginal main character. However, West’s writing and dialogue flows naturally making the clichés easier to stomach. It also helps that Tempt Me is an adult romance instead of contemporary, if you catch my drift.
Overall, Tempt Me is a quick read that is sure to elevate your heart rate. Henry’s sex appeal and elusiveness are sure to keep readers coming back for more.
I love when authors use pen names, for some reason. This sounds pretty good!
Me too! You get to experience a different genres from a favourite author.
Great review! I felt the same as you about the tropes. This is one that’s filled with so many erotica tropes and the innocent virgin and older boss man taking an interest in them is like… one of my least favourites. Maybe. But I ended up speeding through this whole series so I guess it worked for me here lol
Same here! West’s writing was just so good that I couldn’t stop turning the pages.
