What do you think you’ll read next?
Bestselling author Laurie Faria Stolarz returns with Jane Anonymous, a gripping tale of a seventeen-year-old girl’s kidnapping and her struggle to fit back into her life after she escapes.
Then, “Jane” was just your typical 17-year-old in a typical New England suburb getting ready to start her senior year. She had a part-time job she enjoyed, an awesome best friend, overbearing but loving parents, and a crush on a boy who was taking her to see her favorite band. She never would’ve imagined that in her town where nothing ever happens, a series of small coincidences would lead to a devastating turn of events that would forever change her life.
Now, it’s been three months since “Jane” escaped captivity and returned home. Three months of being that girl who was kidnapped, the girl who was held by a “monster.” Three months of writing down everything she remembered from those seven months locked up in that stark white room. But, what if everything you thought you knew―everything you thought you experienced―turned out to be a lie?
Release Date: January 7, 2020
I would definitely recommend this if you enjoyed Sadie by Courtney Summers.
It’s a dark story about trauma and healing. The writing has this lyrical quality to it that makes what’s going on more sinister.
This was my first ever reread of Clockwork Angel since first reading it ten years ago. I found that it holds up, though I wish Clare would have leaned into the angst between Tessa and Will a little more, but that’s to be expected of YA books published all those years ago.
I plan on rereading Clockwork Prince in January then Clockwork Princess in February in the lead up to Chain of Gold in March!
And finally…. One of my most anticipated books of 2020! The sequel to Skyward by, the king himself, Brandon Sanderson. I guess you could say the sun rises and sets on him, in my humble opinion.
What about you? What are your three Ws this Wednesday? Have you read any of the books mentioned above?
Jane Anonymous sounds really good. Even though I haven’t read Sadie, which I want to read too😁
These darker YA books are very good. Definitely worth reading 🙂
I loved Sadie so I’m going to add Jane Anonymous to my TBR 😍😍
I hope you enjoy! 🙂
So glad that you’re diving into a Sanderson book! It’s like hearing about that missing puzzle piece finally being found to complete it all! 😀
Yes! That’s the perfect way to describe it. All is well 🙂
