What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I finally got the library copy after impatiently waiting MONTHS for this.
I’m sure most people have already read The Wicked King, but here’s the link for my review of The Cruel Prince.
After immediately finishing Red Sister I was confused for a lot of reasons. Mostly, I was confused because I didn’t understand why I did love it as much as everyone else. Check out my review to read my thoughts. So, I put off reading Grey Sister until now. Grey Sister is INCREDIBLE! I cannot believe I had issues with Red Sister after reading Grey Sister.
Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of one lonely refugee.
Alina Starkov has never been good at anything. But when her regiment is attacked on the Fold and her best friend is brutally injured, Alina reveals a dormant power that saves his life—a power that could be the key to setting her war-ravaged country free. Wrenched from everything she knows, Alina is whisked away to the royal court to be trained as a member of the Grisha, the magical elite led by the mysterious Darkling.
Yet nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. With darkness looming and an entire kingdom depending on her untamed power, Alina will have to confront the secrets of the Grisha . . . and the secrets of her heart.
I’ve always toyed with the idea of reading the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but it wasn’t until the Netflix announcement that I gave the idea some weight. So, I picked up Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm from a used book store this passed weekend.
Also, these covers are gorgeous!
What about you? What are your three Ws this Wednesday? Have you read any of the books mentioned above?
