Colleen Hoover delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair.

All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking page-turner that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?

I’m going to keep this review short and vague since everything I loved about All Your Perfects is nestled tightly within spoiler territory. All Your Perfects is a story about a failing marriage and how it got to that point. Hoover expertly intertwines the past and present with oscillating chapters that allows the reader the chance to experience the main characters’ love they found for each other in the beginning and their failing marriage.

Hoover’s novels have always featured a heavily emotional tone or serious topic within the narrative, so it’s no surprise that All Your Perfects is more than just a romance. The entirety of All Your Perfects is rooted in the difficulties of marriage and long-term commitment. Told entirely from Quinn’s perspective, All Your Perfects tells the story of what happens when communication and effort cease.

Quinn is an incredibly introspective character who bears the brunt of the failing marriage. What I enjoyed most about her was her ability to acknowledge her faults and actions, even when she’s consciously aware of them. Quinn’s heart and soul are bared for everyone to see on these pages and though their problem is something specific that will remain unmentioned, readers will still be able to identify and empathize with Quinn and Graham.

Overall, All Your Perfects is sure to shoot up to a lot of readers’ favourite Colleen Hoover novel. It’s a story about love, loss, grief, and second chances all encompassed within the difficulties of marriage.
