Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies – J. K. Rowling

This was disappointing. Not because the writing was bad or the stories were boring, but because they weren’t really stories. The stories read like asides in a history book. They felt impersonal and fact driven.

That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy the information received, but it would have been nice to receive the information in a more traditional story style.

The sections about Minerva and Remus were the best. They were full of information and captured my attention. The sections about Trelawney and Kettleburn were almost useless and a waste of time.

Overall, this wasn’t what I was expecting and what I wanted. Although, from the little I’ve read from Pottermore I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
